Texan Presidential Hopeful Declares ‘Binkleymentum’ Out of Iowa
Dallas pastor and businessman Ryan Binkley came in fifth place during the Iowa Caucuses on Monday night. Now, the Republican presidential hopeful is declaring that his campaign has “Binkleymentum” heading into the next round of primary contests.
Binkley finished in fifth place on Monday night with around 774 votes, or 0.7%, according to NBC News. The finish was stronger than many pundits expected, with the Texan beating former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson statewide, who had appeared on a primary debate stage earlier in the cycle. Binkley also left Iowa as the fourth strongest active presidential candidate, following Vivek Ramaswamy’s announcement that he was suspending his campaign on Monday.
